Yay the weekend is here! That means that we get to go on a trip somewhere with the whole family. For this weekend we're going to Guanacaste!
We began our journey by driving to Puntarenas where we caught a ferry to cross the Nicoya Gulf. By the time we caught the ferry it was dark and we got to watch the lights of Puntarenas slowly disappear until we reached Paquera on the other side.

We began our journey by driving to Puntarenas where we caught a ferry to cross the Nicoya Gulf. By the time we caught the ferry it was dark and we got to watch the lights of Puntarenas slowly disappear until we reached Paquera on the other side.
It was a very bumpy ride, but worth it.
We then continued our journey around the peninsula until we reached Cabuya, a town near Montezuma. The roads here are awful and I was very happy when we arrived at the Howler Monkey Hotel where we got to sleep in little wooden cabins.
